Wait at least 60 minutes from receipt of your delivery before actually turning the unit on for the first time. Keep unit upright.
Installation Steps:
1. Use the template provided in your kit to mark out where you want to put the top hole A and bottom hole B. We recommend using one of the side walls or the back corner. Using the back wall can blow the conditioned air right out the front door making the unit less efficient. This is a good time to place the unit in the desired position next to the house and ensure the hoses are positioned properly with the least amount of bends.
2. Use the Metal Hole Saw to drill hole A and B.
3. Attach Coupling –Return Air
a. Center a coupling over Hole B.
b. Three sides of the coupling should be flush to the wall and one side has a small gap for sliding the filters in and out.
c. Make sure the fourth side is facing to the side you would like to remove the filter from.
d. Attach Coupling.
e. Insert Filter into slot on coupling.
f. Ensure that filter is properly seated.
4. Attach Coupling—Air Supply (Same as above BUT NO FILTERS!!)
5. Attach one hose to the coupling on hole A and one hose to the coupling on hole B. Secure each hose A pinch clip.
6. Connect the Climate Control Unit by Connecting hose A to the top coupling on the unit and hose B to the bottom coupling on the unit.
Turn the unit on for 15 minutes, off for 5 minutes and back on for 15 minutes.
Performance:
With a well built and insulated structure you can expect to see a 20 degree variance in the temperature of your dog house heater. Other variables out of our control can affect the final outcome, such as voids, direct sunlight, wind, snow, ice, size, structure and material just to name a few.
